The UV lamp TMC 110W Pro Pond– a must for crystal clear water in your koi pond.
The manufacturer reports that the UV lamp TMC 110W Pro Pond is suitable for ponds with a capacity 72.000 litres and a maximum flow rate of 36.000 litres per hour.
According to the experiences of Koi Hacienda, these suggestions should be divided by at least two as it is based on studies with very few fish (optimum for koi should be 1 koi per 1,000 litres) and very little sunshine.
Therefore, the UV lamp TMC 110W Pro Pond should be considered for a koi pond with approximately 36.000 litres.
The UV lamp TMC 110W Pro Pond destroy the green single celled water borne algae which make koi ponds murky and unattractive. As water passes through the unit, it is exposed to ultraviolet light which kills the algae but does not affect any of the sensitive plant and pond life. As no chemicals are used, there is no danger of pollution or over treatment of the water.
